Through our Partnership with The Law Offices of Ted London and Associates, The Ted and Kelli London Charitable Foundation is dedicated to bridging the gap between the classroom and the courtroom.

We believe that a diverse legal community is essential for a just and equitable legal system.

Through our grant programs, mentorship, and educational resources, we are committed to increasing minority lawyer representation and ensuring that all voices are heard in our courts.

Our Programs:

Debate Teams:

We sponsor debate teams at schools throughout Cook County, allowing students to develop
their critical thinking and public speaking skills.

LSAT and State Bar Preparation Training:

We offer LSAT and state bar preparation courses to help students succeed on these important exams.

Field Trips:

We organize field trips to courthouses, law firms, and other legal institutions to give students
a firsthand look at the legal profession.

Legal Career Paths:

We provide information and resources on various legal career paths, helping students explore their
options and make informed decisions about their future.

Law School Admissions:

We offer guidance and support to students applying to law school, including essay-writing workshops
and mock interviews.

Financial Aid & Grants:

We provide financial aid and grants to help students pay for law school.

Mentor Profiles:

We connect students with experienced lawyers who can provide them with mentorship and guidance.

Managing Student Loan Debt:

We offer resources and workshops to help students manage their student loan debt.

TKL Foundation Grant Programs:

We provide grants to organizations working to increase diversity in the legal profession.

“LUNCH WITH A LAWYER” TO CELEBRATE BLACK HISTORY MONTH

“LUNCH WITH A LAWYER” TO CELEBRATE BLACK HISTORY MONTH

The Ted and Kelli London Charitable Foundation, in partnership with the Ted London and Associates, is sponsoring “Lunch with a Lawyer” to commemorate Black History Month and encourage students of color to consider a career in the legal profession.

Seventh and eighth-grade students of Amelia Earhart School, located at 1710 East 93rd Street, Chicago, IL 60617, attended “Lunch with a Lawyer” on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 and Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab located at 60 East Grand Avenue, Chicago, IL 60611 from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM.

Students departed Amelia Earhart School at 10:30 AM and traveled via charter bus to Joe’s. There, they will dine with Attorney Theodore “Ted” London and the Honorable John Fitzgerald Lyke Jr. and experience a business lunch. Students will select from a custom menu curated by the chefs at Joe’s for a memorable, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

The Ted and Kelli London Charitable Foundation is dedicated to bridging the gap between the classroom and the courtroom, based on a belief that a diverse legal community is essential for a just and equitable legal system.

Through grant programs, mentorship, and educational resources, we are committed to increasing minority lawyer representation and ensuring that all voices are heard in the courts. The Foundation is grateful to the owners, management, and staff of Joe’s for hosting this event, which has not been held at the restaurant previously. The students of Amelia Earhart School will be the first to dine at this establishment.
Attorney Theodore “Ted” London remarked , “When I was in 6th grade, we had a field trip to a fine-dining restaurant, which had a profound effect on me and my understanding that there are broader culinary experiences available.

I want to be able to provide a similar experience to these students, as it remains impactful to me to this day
